BABY NAMING CEREMONIES

For non religious couples, or of mixed faith or culture, who want to celebrate the arrival of their new child this is a fabulous way to do so.We offer a faith friendly/faith neutral ceremony. The structure often resembles a more traditional service. The celebration can be intimate in the family home, outside in a natural setting or in a more formal or extravagant party location. It is completely your choice.

It is the opportunity to include the friends and family who mean the most to you in one of the most precious moments in your life and to publicly declare the love you share for your new baby.

If you already have other children and you wish them to participate then that is also possible we can include their participation and making their day special too.

 

A baby naming ceremony can be tailored to your individual needs and wants.

For mixed cultural couples we can incorporate elements of each culture if that works for you. 

​

A beloved family pet can also have a role to play.

 

I will send you a questionnaire which will enable me to write the script and plan the ceremony.I will then send you an approximate script and will ask for additional information and or make any changes you want.

Each ceremony is completely individual and takes some time to prepare.

Typically, the ceremony would include an introduction, meeting the Guide Parents(if any), Vows of Support, Readings, The Formal Naming of the child, Lighting a dedication Candle. Other enhancements are also possible like a Memory Box, Hand and Footprint Ceremony, Closing words.
